Nevada State Patrol Officer Hurt in Pursuit Collision near Cheyenne Avenue

LAS VEGAS, NV (November 18, 2022) – Wednesday night, two victims were injured in a wrong-way pursuit crash on Interstate 215.

The incident took place on the northbound lanes of I-215 near Cheyenne Avenue around 9:30 p.m.

Per reports, an officer turned on his lights in attempt to pull over a wrong-way driver in a Black Dodge Journey. However, the driver failed to stop and a pursuit ensued.

The suspect continued driving when the officer drove directly into the path of the suspect and crashed into the front of the Dodge. Upon impact, both vehicles ended up on the shoulder of the road.

Emergency crews arrived and extricated the driver of the Dodge. Medics then transported the driver and an officer to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
