Stolen Vehicle on Adams Street Led to Crash near Jackson Street

INDIO, CA (August 8, 2023) – Late Friday morning, a police chase on Interstate 10 ended in a rollover crash that injured two. The incident happened on July 28th, at around 11:30 a.m., when the deputies tried to pull over a suspected stolen vehicle near the intersection of Fred Waring Drive and Adams Street. According to authorities, when the vehicle failed to stop for police, officials initiated a pursuit. The pursuit ended on Interstate 10, near Jackson Street, when it collided with another vehicle occupied by two people. The impact of the collision caused the stolen vehicle to roll down an embankment. Emergency crews arrive at the site of the collision shortly after. Paramedics transported the passenger of the second vehicle to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. Meanwhile, crews were called to hoist the suspect from the embankment.
