Vehicle Collision on State Route 51 Left Two Hurt

PHOENIX, AZ (February 16, 2022) – A head-on crash on State Route 51 left two people injured early Friday morning.

The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. at the northbound lane of State Route 51 and Bethany Home Road, authorities said.

Furthermore, police said a woman in her 40’s was driving in the opposite lane, when she collided head-on with another vehicle that resulted in extreme damage.

Eventually, paramedics arrived at the scene and transported both drivers to the hospital with unknown injuries.

However, the identities of the two patients are currently being withheld.

Both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Circumstances surrounding the head-on crash on State Route 51 remains under active investigation.
