Two Victims Hospitalized after Auto Collision near Campbell Road

LOMPOC, CA (May 5, 2022) – Medics transported at least two victims to a hospital Monday morning, following a head-on crash on Highway 246.

According to police, the collision happened around 6:32 a.m., near Campbell Road between Buellton and Lompoc.

Per reports, two vehicles collided head-on in the area. However, further events leading up to the incident still remain unclear.

Santa Barbara County officials stated that crews had to extricate multiple victims from the wreckage. In addition, medics transported two occupants to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

In addition, fire officials also rescued two cats from inside one of the vehicles.

Further circumstances surrounding the deadly collision have not been made clear. Although, Lompoc Officials continue to investigate the head-on crash to determine more information.

Moreover, authorities closed a portion of the highway for a brief time to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
