Two-Vehicle Accident near Livermore Avenue Left Two Injured

LIVERMORE, CA (August 24, 2022) – A fiery collision on Highway 580 left two drivers with injuries, Wednesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to the crash around 2:47 a.m. along westbound 580, east of Livermore Avenue.

Upon arrival, police found an unconscious woman lying between a burning Toyota Camry and a wrecked Nissan Altima.

Later on, the CHP said that two separate crashes had occurred.

Investigators said a woman wrecked her Camry into a concrete wall and exited her vehicle. However, an Altima struck both the driver and her vehicle, causing the Camry to become engulfed in flames.

Eventually, first responders arrived and rescued the female Camry driver from the scene, before transporting her to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Meanwhile, the Nissan Altima driver sustained minor injuries. At this time, Livermore Officials are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the Highway 580 fiery crash.
