One Dead, One Injured after Two-Car Collision on Wilmot Road

TUCSON, AZ (October 21, 2022) – Tuesday, Joshua Robert John Skattum died and another injured after a two-vehicle crash on Grant Road.

The incident happened at the intersection of East Grant Road and North Wilmot Road, per responding authorities.

According to initial reports, two vehicles collided and one vehicle was sent into a nearby bus stop. The impact of the collision caused two people to sustain minor to serious injuries.

Medics arrived shortly after and transported the victims to a local hospital for further treatment. One victim, later identified as 29-year-old Joshua Robert John Skattum, was pronounced dead at the hospital due to the extent of their injures.

Tucson Officials have not released the identity of the other injured victim at this time, pending notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, emergency crews blocked off both directions of the intersection to perform cleanup and preliminary duties.

An active investigation is currently underway at this time. A GoFundMe page has been created by the family to help with expenses during this difficult time.
