Two Hospitalized after Shuttle Bus Collision at Los Angeles International Airport
LOS ANGELES, CA (July 25, 2022) – Thursday afternoon, nine victims were injured in a shuttle bus crash near Terminal 1 at LAX.
The crash happened around 12:20 p.m., near the Southwest Airlines at Los Angeles International Airport.
For reasons under investigation, a shuttle bus crashed on the lower level of the terminal area. Moreover, officials reported that at least 30 people were aboard the shuttle.
Upon impact, nine people suffered injuries and two required hospitalization in serious condition. Although, authorities have not yet released their identities.
At this time, further circumstances surrounding the LAX collision remain unclear. An active investigation into the shuttle bus crash near Terminal 1 is still currently underway.
Crews closed the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.
