Utility Terrain Vehicle Crash in Sand Mountain Recreation Area Left Two Dead
FALLON, NV (November 4, 2022) – Saturday, a UTV crash near Lincoln Highway claimed the lives of two children.
The incident happened on October 29th, in the Sand Mountain Recreation Area, just north of US Route 50.
According to reports, an adult was operating a UTV with two children occupants when the vehicle flipped over. The impact of the collision left the occupants with serious injuries.
When emergency crews arrived they pronounced one child dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medics airlifted the other injured child to Renown Hospital in Reno. There, despite life-saving efforts, the child succumbed to their injuries.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the two children. At this time, no further details about the collision have been released. However, Churchill County officials are continuing to investigate the UTV Crash near Lincoln Highway.
