Overturned Tractor-Trailer on Cajalco Road Left Truck Driver Injured

CORONA, CA (December 17, 2021) – A truck driver sustained major injuries after a big rig crash on Cajalco Road Thursday morning.

California Highway Patrol in Riverside Country said the crash occurred about 10 a.m. at an intersection along Temescal Canyon Road within El Cerrito.

The big rig jackknifed on a bend in the roadway and went over on its side in the process.

Furthermore, it missed other vehicles but blocked the road nonetheless.

First responders found the trucker, whose identity was withheld, trapped in the rig.

Firefighters arrived shortly after and extricated the victim, taking him to the hospital for treatment of major injuries.

Cajalco Road had been completely shut down in both directions up until 11:30 a.m., after the tractor-trailer was removed.
