Tonight marks the release party for Atwater Village-based producer, video music composer and remixer Troublemaker, whose new album, The Maestro, delivers a sturdy, totally pumping combination of breakbeat, dubstep and hip hop rhythms. The producer, the nom de DJ of Josh Kouzomis, is incredibly active on the remix front, and uploads a steady stream of massive reworkings of hits and obscurities to his website.

For example, there's this beastly reworking of Mastodon's “Oblivion.” (Unfortunately, Silversun Pickups apparently made him take down his reworking of “Swoon.”)

Troublemaker celebrates the release of The Maestro tonight as part of Dance Right's night at La Cita downtown.
