43-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Collision on Cactus Road

PHOENIX, AZ (January 26, 2022) – A pedestrian crash near 42nd Avenue left 43-year-old Tristen Ramos dead Friday evening.

The fatal collision happened near 42nd Avenue and Cactus Road around 10:00 p.m., police said.

According to preliminary reports, Ramos was walking outside a crosswalk on Cactus Road. There, Ramos was struck by a passing vehicle.

Upon impact, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. However, authorities have not yet provided their identity.

Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Following preliminary duties, officers believed that impairment or speeding were not factors in the crash.
