UC Davis Student Killed in Garbage Truck Collision on Hutchinson Drive

DAVIS, CA (May 31, 2022) – 19-year-old Trisha Nicole Yasay was killed Wednesday morning, in a bicycle collision on Dairy Road.

The crash took place at Dairy Road and Hutchinson Drive around 8:00 a.m., on May 25th.

As per reports, Yasay was struck by a garbage truck on campus for reasons still not known.

Medics transported Yasay to UC Davis Medical Center where she later succumbed to her injuries. Meanwhile, the name of the garbage truck driver is yet to be released.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is still underway.
