Elementary School Teacher Killed, 2 Injured in Fatal Collision on Fogg Street

LAS VEGAS, NV (May 27, 2021) – 47-year-old school teacher Tricia Young died Sunday afternoon in a fatal crash on Bonanza Road.

The deadly collision took place in the area of East Bonanza Road and North Fogg Street around 2:45 p.m.

Per reports, the driver of a 2007 Mazda 3 ran a four-way stop at E. Bonanza Road and N. Fogg Street. There, the driver struck the left side of Young’s Honda Civic.

Emergency personnel arrived and found Young in critical condition. They transported her to University Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.

Kaidence Young, 18, was also a passenger in the Honda. Due to the impact of the crash, she suffered minor injuries. Meanwhile, medics also took the 28-year-old female Mazda driver to a local hospital with moderate injuries.

Young spent nearly 20 years in the Clark County School District, most recently teaching first grade at Watson Elementary School in North Las Vegas.
