Motorcyclist Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision near Highway 138

CAJON PASS, CA (January 11, 2022)  – Sunday night, Treyshawn Williams was pronounced dead after a motorcycle crash on Interstate 15.

Officers responded to the scene around 10:02 p.m., after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.

For reasons still unknown, the 23-year-old rider of San Bernardino crashed into the left rear of a white Tesla Model X. Investigators say he was traveling at about 50 mph at the time.

Due to the impact, Williams was thrown off his bike and into traffic. Paramedics responded shortly after and performed CPR on the severely injured rider.

Despite life-saving efforts, emergency personnel pronounced the rider dead at 10:34 pm.

Crews shut down the surrounding area during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened. At this time, the cause of the accident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Division.
