Suspected DUI Collision on US 101 Left One Person Dead

SAN RAFAEL, CA (April 25, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, a deadly wrong-way crash on U.S. Highway 101 in Marin County left Trey King hospitalized. At around 3:30 a.m., a red 2018 Nissan pickup was traveling north along southbound 101 near the Interstate 580 interchange for unknown reasons. Subsequently, the pick crashed head-on with a black 2011 BMW sedan. Responding fire personnel declared the 22-year-old Nissan driver dead at the scene after suffering fatal injuries. Meanwhile, first responders transported the 30-year-old BMW driver, Trey King from Novato to Marin General Hospital for significant injuries. According to the CHP, the driver of the Nissan is suspected of driving under the influence. Ultimately, authorities reopened all the closed-down lanes after three hours.
