Motorcycle Accident on Highway 2 Kills 35-Year-Old Travis Lewis

EVERETT, WA (August 23, 2021) Travis Lewis, 35, of Camano Island, died Thursday in a motorcycle accident on Highway 2 in Everett.

Per reports, the fatal accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Highway 2 onto northbound Interstate 5.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Lewis lost control of his 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle as he exited the highway in a curve and collided with the right side guardrail.

The force of the crash threw him from his bike, and he died at the scene from his injuries.
Officials stated that he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. There were no other vehicles involved in the collision.

Authorities said it does not look like intoxication contributed to the crash but speed played a role. However, an active investigation is underway.
