58-Year-Old Scooter Rider Injured in Collision on Wigwam Avenue

LAS VEGAS, NV (April 21, 2022) – Monday afternoon, Tracy Silva was hospitalized after an electric scooter accident on Las Vegas Boulevard.

The incident occurred around 3:45 p.m., at the intersection of Wigwam Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard.

Per reports, 21-year-old Kaitlyn Cartwright, of Las Vegas was driving a westbound 2017 Dodge Ram 2500 on Las Vegas Boulevard, attempting to turn left onto Wigwam.

There, Cartwright struck 58-year-old Silva as she was was riding an electric scooter in the area.

Medical personnel arrived and transported Tracy Silva to University Medical Center Trauma for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, the Dodge driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Following preliminary investigations, officers do not believe that alcohol played a factor after a field sobriety test.
