Coming up as a producer in Atlanta, Fki 1st aka 1$t created an endless catalog of hits include Post Malone’s “White Iverson,” Iggy Azalea’s “Work,” Travis Porter’s “Bring It Back,” 2 Chainz’s “Watch Out,” and so much more. Beyond the plaques, he’s now ready to go all out on his own.

Most recently, he unleashed his new single “IROC,” with a cinematic visual to match. While this isn’t the first time you’ve heard him rapping, the record is a testament to what he can do in the booth, whether it’s over his own production or other people’s.

Produced by Yung Skrrt, Zach Nahome and FKi 1st, “IROC” is dedicated to real name Trocon Roberts Jr.’s favorite car: the Chevy IROC. The car debuted in 1984 as a “Camaro that thinks it’s a Corvette” — an analogy that relates to his own rap career.

1$t says, “I wanted a song that represented a classic car. I love classics. I love OG shit. #Chevygang, the beat sounds like the engine.” Right after he made it, his friend Millz crashed Kevin Gates’ $100K car listening to the song. Even Posty hit him the second he dropped it saying it was hard and they needed to work ASAP.

On the chorus, he spits, “You know that that money talk and you don’t speak my language / Fuck the top, bunch of guap, IROC, parking lot.”

The track itself is a banger, heavy in drums and 808s with a catchy hook you can’t help but nod your head to. The visual was shot in both Tokyo and Los Angeles, with his forthcoming project Tokyo following his journey from Atlanta to Tokyo arriving on November 22nd.

Bump “IROC” in the whip and get hyped for your day no matter what’s on the schedule.
