Your lunch and dinner options in Downtown will expand further as with the grand stall-by-stall openings of Torta Company and Loteria Grill at FIGat7th next Friday, Dec. 13. Whereas the Loteria Grill at the Downtown retail complex be its sixth outpost, Torta Company will be a debut venture for Jimmy Shaw and his brother Andy.

You can expect a similar taco-focused menu at the newest Loteria Grill location as you'll find at the first Loteria at the Original Farmers Market on Fairfax and 3rd. Jimmy Shaw launched his growing chain in 2002; since then, he's opened other locations throughout L.A., including ones in Hollywood, Studio City, Santa Monica and Westlake.

With the Torta Company, the Shaw brothers have teamed up to introduce a concept for a Mexican sandwich shop they've been planning for years. The menu at Torta Company have both traditional and newer sandwich styles. This means you'll see steak pepito, milanesa de pollo and pierna adobada (pulled pork) alongside pescado Veracruzana, which is batter-fried snapper in a Veracruz tomato sauce, and mole de guajolote, or turkey in mole.
