SGV East Food Swap

The SGV East Food Swap is hosting a community exchange of homemade and homegrown food — including fruit, baked goods and sauces — for the public. No money is accepted at the food swap. Pre-registration is required and can be made at the organization's Eventbrite page.

Colombian Brunch at Hotel Maya

As part of Hotel Maya's Latin-inspired brunch series, this month features Colombian cuisine. Brunch is a set package wherein guests will order a main entree, which comes with access to a buffet of soup, salads, empanadas, tamales and desserts. A glass of sparkling wine, coffee, tea, juice or a soft drink is included and live music will be performed throughout the meal.

Olive Oil Tasting at Fig & Olive

For one night, Fig & Olive will host an olive oil tasting complete with a seven-course prix-fixe dinner. The menu will include zucchini carpaccio, Riviera salmon, lamb filet mignon and a green apple sorbet. Each course will be paired with wine from Marqués De Griñón Estate, which also is supplying the olive oils in focus.

Cooking Class at Wolfgang Puck Hotel Bel-Air

Sonny Sweetman, executive chef of Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air, will teach a cooking class revolving the restaurant's popular Dover sole entree. Attendees get to enjoy the fruits of the demonstration after the lesson. Reservations are required and can be made by phone or email via wolfgangpuck.hba@dorchestercollection.com.
