This Frogtown favorite is a no-brainer when it comes to the best margaritas in L.A. Beverage coordinator Adan Maldonado, who heads Salazar’s bar program, has crafted an expert cocktail menu with a heavy focus on tequila and mezcal. A single drink is never enough, so for one day only on National Margarita Day, February 22, you can order anySalazar house margarita as a fishbowl for $25. We can imagine no better afternoon than relaxing on their outdoor patio while sipping a giant bowl of margarita.

 

Trejo’s Tacos/Cantina

Possibly the best deal we’ve seen for National Margarita Day in L.A., Trejo’s will be offering $3.99 OG Margaritas all day at all locations on February 22. Nothing goes better with an all-day drink special than some spicy shrimp and carnitas taco.

 

El Cholo

As a USC student, El Cholo was a staple. This L.A. institution has remained a steadfast favorite, and one of our go-to spots to celebrate National Margarita Day. With a vast list of margaritas, all are sure to please. However, we suggest Zapata’s Widow, made with Casamigos Silver, fresh lime juice and a Don Julio 1942 float. Looking for a special? All locations will be offering the famous El Cholo Margarita at happy hour pricing ($8). This place is popular, so reservations are encouraged.

The Cliffdiver

What’s a better place to celebrate National Margarita Day than gorgeous Malibu? On Saturday, February 22, the Cliffdiver will be offering $8 margaritas all day, satiating local surfers and tourists alike. Whether you’re looking for brunch or for a nightcap, stop in and cheers to the wonders of tequila and mezcal. Our favorite? The Diver Margarita; we can’t resist a good chili salt.

A new venture from the team behind Cliffdiver, this Santa Monica pizza joint serves more than just stereotypical pie. Their Chicago-style thin crust pizza comes with a vast array of artisanal toppings, creating dishes that are as pretty as they are tasty – the perfect accompaniment to a stiff drink. Along with tiki cocktails, Surfer Rose will be serving a special $8 margarita all day long on the 22nd in honor of National Margarita Day. A simple marg with a twist of orange, it’s a delightfully refreshing way to celebrate.

Not the biggest fan of margaritas, but still love any reason to celebrate? We’ve got you – with over 200 speciality cocktails on their menu, The Abbey Food & Bar has a little something for everyone. If you love tequila as much as we do, you’ll love The Abbey’s Patron Margaritas (make it spicy with our favorite, mango chili) for $16. Enjoy a little flavor?
