In this week's cover story, we talk with to Skrillex about the fan culture surrounding the 23-year-old DJ/producer's exploding popularity. Indeed, his admirers' adulation takes many forms, from cover songs to fan fiction to, um, Skrillex/Deadmau5 porn. (The story has some of these hairy details.)
But that's not all. Skrillex told us that tons of folks have been dressing up like him and sending him their photos. In fact, the Tumblr site Girls That Look Like Skrillex features nothing but ladies with his look. Here are our five favorites.

5. Girl in Nightclub
Two elements of the Skrillex look tend to pop up in these lookalikes: his hair and his glasses. He's kept his hair long since he was a teenager, but only adopted the side shave last year. Granted, this unisex haircut has been around for a long while — you can even spot someone sporting it in Curve's early-'90s video for “Fait Accompli” — but Skrillex's is the 2011 update of the Phil Oakey cut, and will now always be associated with him. His thick black framed glasses, meanwhile, are Sabres, both for his regular glasses and his sunglasses. In case you're wondering, yes, they are prescription.

4. Girl in Elevator
This girl gets extra points for sporting ear discs. Skrillex told us that he first pierced his ear around age twelve. Not long after he began sporting the discs, starting with a zero gauge. He's not sure how big the discs he wears are now, but they seem to be roughly comparable to this lady's.

3. Girl in Blue
This girl has not only the side shave and glasses, but is wearing the all-important flannel shirt, similar to the gray and black plaid button-down shirt he's been photographed a few times wearing. While this isn't identical, it's pretty close!
2. Marceline the Vampire Queen
Marceline is the supercool bass-playing vampire on the Cartoon Network series Adventure Time. In an episode called “Go with Me,” which first aired earlier this year, she sports the side shave. Was this a direct reference to Skrillex? Maybe, maybe not, but who cares? We found this screengrab on The Adventure Time with Finn and Jake wiki, but you can check out at least two gifs from the same episode on Girls That Look Like Skrillex.

1. The Ultimate Girl That Looks Like Skrillex
This DJ — whose name is Aura Slavit — is the ultimate. She's not only in full Skrillex cosplay, she's wearing the outfit to her own DJ gig. In fact, she even says someone mistook her for him at the party. And here's another photo Aura submitted, taken at St. Louis anime convention NatsuCon.
