Top Chef is on the move again, trading in the red chips of Vegas for the red tape of Washington, D.C. And in typical political fashion, the show's shooting schedule has been held up – this time due to Emmy-nominated host Padma Lakshmi's pregnancy. “We were supposed to shoot in January, but we pushed it to April 5 because of her baby,” Tom Colicchio said at the Bravo upfront party via the Washington Post. Lakshmi gave birth to a baby girl, Krishna, on February 20, giving her six weeks to get her Top Chef top body back in shape.

Padma's baby isn't the only new addition to the Top Chef cast; Colicchio also shared Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet's potential appearance as a guest judge. “I met Kate Winslet at a party the other night, and she said, 'I want to come on the show,'” Colicchio told the New York Post. “So I said, 'Kate, you've got an Oscar in your hands, you can do whatever you want.'” We think Kate Winslet is great and all, but why go the Oscar-winner route when Top Chef could ask, oh I don't know, Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel?

While guest judges have not been announced, audiences will be reunited with the judging panel Top Chef contestants love to hate, including Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons. And who knows? Perhaps D.C.-based Top Chef alums Bryan Voltaggio, Carla Hall and Spike Mendelsohn will get in on the action.
