IMIX Totally '80s Dance Party & Bowie Tribute
A lot of us are nowhere near over David Bowie’s passing and this mega-mix mashup from DJ Paul V. will offer revelry and release. V. spins new wave, alternative, pop hits and remixes from the '80s, including a midnight tribute to the Starman featuring a performance by Sissy Spastik as the “Thin White Duchess.” Also expect glitter and glam onstage with Lady Stardust & The Glitterati Dancers. Green Slime
Our favorite swingin’ '60s night always gets extra wild when guest DJ Howie Pyro’s in the house. Punk legend Pyro spins from his insane vinyl record collection so expect to hear everything from sexy rhythm & blues to wild garage rock to groovy psych and freakbeat. Rhondavous – A Lover's Ball/Union Grand Reveal
The club formerly known as Jewel's Catch One is being reborn as Union. Rhonda International’s Rhondavous: A Lover's Ball will also be the night of Union's grand “reveal” — and it should be “revealing” in more ways than one. The pre-Valentine's Day bash will offer club-goers a first look at the renovation of the famed Jewel’s Catch One space, with multiple rooms and revered DJs driving the debauchery. Lineup includes: Bonobo, Guy Gerber, the Martinez Brothers, Horse Meat Disco, Kenny Larkin and many more. At Union, 4067 W. Love & Lust
Perish’s Studio 69 celebrates five years of fetishy, freaky fun on Valentine's Day with the 5th annual Love & Lust Costume Ball. Suggested attire: angels, cupids, kings and queens of hearts, wings and feathers, and sexy red, black and white finery. Lots of visual amusements at this one including stiltwalkers, fire dancers, aerial and twirling angels and more. Four rooms of music include DJs Amanda Darling, Lucky 8, Bass Dropperz, and Jonathan Morning in the “Love Room,” and Franck H-Bomb, Rev. Pre-Grammy Reggae Gathering
Grammy parties in L.A. are always pretty epic and this nominee celebration, boasting as an “all-inclusive guest policy,” offers the opp to pop and drop with music biz biggies for everyone. Founded by Sire Dhone Johnson, Lukes Morgan and Eddie Donaldson and hosted by pretty much every big name in the local reggae community — including “Mr. Boombastic” himself, Shaggy — this one will offer live music, DJs, live painting and Caribbean delicacies. All of the Grammy nominees in the reggae category are expected to attend. At Los Globos, 3040 W. Sunset Blvd., Silver Lake. $10, 21+, 8 p.m.- 2 a.m. More info.

10th Annual Dre Day
Gangsta love will be at an all-time high (pun intended) as L.A. punk bands and rap fans unite to celebrate Andre “Dr. Dre” Young. A belated birthday bash (his 51st birthday falls on Feb. 18), the annual shindig invites all to “button up your workshirts, crack open an ice-cold bottle of malt liquor, and spark a fat blunt” as Dre-heavy playlists keep things poppin’ and live performances by Revolution's Pride, Gentlemen Prefer Blood, Pu$$y-Cow and Kim & The Created cover the rapper and producer with attitude. CyberSonicLA One-Year Anniversary
Celebrating one year of serving up the best underground EDM talent from around globe, the monthly CyberSonicLA has made quite a name for itself with its monthly mix series. For their first anniversary, Cyber drops its first compilation and features some top-notch beat-makers including Letta (Coyote Records) and Santa Muerte (GHE20G0TH1K), who helped pioneer the “ghetto goth” movement, a sound and style that continues to influence DJs and dance floor whores alike. Edwardian Ball
Blending music, theatre, fashion and cosplay, the annual extravaganza celebrating Neo-Victorian and Edwardian-era gothic and steampunk styles is always a decadent delight for the eyes and ears. Presented by co-hosts Rosin Coven and Vau de Vire Society, this year's affair will feature ballroom dancing, interactive performance art, sideshows, and an Edward Gorey operatic stage show featuring Edwardian Ball founder Rosin Coven and Dark Garden Corsetry. Bootie LA Onesie Night
The popular mash-up party goes pajama-rama, but you’ll be doing anything but slumbering.
