Venison Fair

Chef Shigefumi Tachibe celebrates his love of game with a special deer-centric menu including venison meatballs, venison chili, a venison burger with apple raisin chutney and more. (Dishes, which are available for dinner, start at $21.) The regular dinner menu will also be available.

Three Restaurants in One

To celebrate their restaurants being named to Esquire's “Best New Restaurants 2011” list, chefs Kris Morningstar (Ray's Restaurant & Stark Bar), John Rivera Sedlar (Rivera, Playa), Steve Samson and Zach Pollack (Sotto) will collaborate for a series of rotating dinners. This one happens at Playa, the final one happens at Sotto on December 5th. Each meal features a special, six-course menu. Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the restaurant, and it will go to Toys for Tots.

Kinda-Sorta Holiday Beer Class

Recently opened beer emporium Sunset Beer Company hosts their inaugural beer tasting class. (Now with cheese!)They'll explore some of their favorite year-round beers along with some holiday picks. The full line-up is a secret, but look for Gouden Carolus Noel, Port Santa's Little Helper and Alesmith Yulesmith.
