Los Angeles Taco Festival
Enjoy some of Boyle Heights' and East L.A.'s best tacos, from birria to carne asada to shrimp, as well as live mariachi music, arts and crafts at this new outdoor event. Proceeds go to support Jovenes Inc., a nonprofit that provides housing for homeless youth.

Lucky Rice Night Market
Lukshon's Sang Yoon hosts more than a dozen L.A. chefs, including Jet Tila (the Charleston), Kris Yenbamroong (Night + Market) and Bryant Ng (Spice Table), for this pan-Asian street food festival. Live DJ sets, handcrafted cocktails and a bevy of special guests (Lisa Ling, LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy and girlfriend Christina Topsoe) will be in attendance.

Yucatán Seafood Class and Dinner
Downtown's Chichén Itzá hosts a cooking class that will show guests how to cook Mexican summer classics like jicama salad, ceviche and achiote-rubbed red snapper. A four-course dinner will follow.

10th Annual Los Angeles Plate by Plate
More than 40 of Southern California's top chefs and mixologists (ink., Playa, Providence, Lazy Ox, Mo-Chica) will unite for an evening of fine food and drink. Proceeds go toward Project by Project, a national volunteer organization focused on Asian-American-related issues.

2nd Annual L.A. Weekly Pancake Breakfast
Chef Fred Eric of Tiara Café has handpicked 25 Los Angeles restaurants serving some of “the best pancakes around” to be a part of this all-inclusive event, which features a smorgasbord of breakfast delights including blinis, pajeon, doughnuts, okonomiyaki, maize cakes and more.
