Korean BBQ Cook-Off

Sample the best Korean barbecue from dozens of local Koreatown restaurants and vendors. The third annual cook-off features an Orion Choco Pie eating contest, a craft beer and Korean wine garden and a contest (judged by our own Jonathan Gold) in which chefs battle for the title of Top Grill Master and a cash prize of $1,000.

Blue Palms Brewhouse 3rd Anniversary

Over 40 craft beers and some seriously large hunks of grilled cow are on the menu for the Hollywood pub's third birthday. Admission includes 10 five-ounce pours of beer.

Ubriaca

Roving wine bar Ubriaca pops up for its second flight at Night + Market, where Domaine LA's Jill Bernheimer and Whitney Adams will pour off-the-beaten path wines that aren't typically associated with Thai food. Look for “savory, exotic, spicy, salty, viscous, acid-driven wines” like Sauvete Melis-Melo rosé, Domaine du Bagnol Cassis Blanc and more. In the meantime, chef Kris Yenbamroong will cook up a Northern Thai BBQ on the back patio.

In honor of his son Raj's birthday, India Sweets & Spices owner Kumar Jawa will let diners eat at the shop's Indian buffet for free. The deal is only available at the Atwater Village location.

Taste of Santa Monica

To celebrate the revamped mall's 1-year anniversary, this 10-day dine-a-thon features special three-course, prix fixe menus ($20, lunch; $30, dinner) at 10 different restaurants in Santa Monica Place.
