World Gyoza Eating Championship

As part of Nisei Week, the world's top competitive eaters converge in Little Tokyo for this speed eating contest. Gyoza Eating Championship, which takes place during the Nisei Week Japanese Festival. 100-pound Sonya Thomas faces Pat Bertoletti, the #2 ranked eater in the world, in a 10-minute, all-the-gyoza-you-can-eat showdown.

Taste of Brews

Sample 100 beers from 50 local, regional and international breweries like New Belgium Fat Tire, Hangar 24, Belmont Brewing Company, Hobgoblin and more. The all-inclusive admission includes unlimited craft beer tastes and food samples.

Nibble Bit Tabby 1-Year Anniversary

Nibble Bit Tabby, which just opened its tasting room, is throwing itself a party. And why not? Someone has to buck the tedious trend of overhopped IPAs.

Gourmet Music Carnival

Lobster tacos, mini mac 'n' cheeses, Japanese hand rolls, sliders and performances by local bands like The Hangmen, Broken Numbers and Letting Up Despite Great Faults. Vendors will be selling indie crafts, vintage wares and art. Also, look for Joel Black's open mixology bar serving cocktails.
