18th Annual Long Beach Crawfish Festival

Long Beach hosts a crawfish festival that features two days of the tasty crustacean battered, boiled, fried and more. There's also the usual array of Cajun music, booths, games and — bonus! — beignets.

8th Annual Central Coast Wine & Food Celebration

Los Angeles and Santa Barbara chefs join forces with Central Coast vintners to raise money in honor of the Michael Bonaccorsi Scholarship at UC Davis' winemaking program. Participating restaurants include The Hitching Post II, Mozza, La Brea Bakery, Jar, Spago Beverly Hills, CUT, Lucques, A.O.C., Tavern, Hungry Cat, Mélisse, Manhattan Beach Post, Mezze and more. The roster of 58 Central Coast wineries includes Au Bon Climat, Qupé, L'Aventure, Tyler; Jorian Hill, Melville and more.

Pig Roast

Craft chef de cuisine John Keenan will roast a whole pig on the restaurant's terrace as guests sample local beers and wines, listen to live bluegrass and shop from select Santa Monica Market participants. The event benefits the Good Food Festival & Conference (happening September 14 – 18).

Another Pig Roast

Celebrate the release of Dominick's first-ever Dago Rosé and Dago White blends as owner Warner Ebbink and chef Brandon Boudet host a brunchtime pig roast on the patio.

LQ @ SK

Rabbit albondigas and escamole tacos: Those were the showstoppers the last time we popped into LQ @ SK. Who knows what will be on the menu when Laurent Quenioux steps behind the Starry Kitchen stoves, once again.
