Pastry chefs David Rodriguez (Providence), Waylynn Lucas (Fōnuts) and Kei Hasegawa (Matsuhisa) along with chefs Ramon Perez (Puur Chocolat) and Carlos Enriquez (Top Chef Just Desserts) create a 10-course tasting menu at Breadbar. (Plus cocktails from Devin Espinoza of Pour Vous.) The event benefits Share Our Strength, an organization that aims to improve access to healthy, affordable food in the U.S.

Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra: Westside Connections With Jonathan Gold

Westside Connections, a series that explores the relationship between music and other arts, is focusing on food. For this concert, pieces include “Iche esse mit Freuden” (I eat with joy) by Joannes Bach, “La Bonne Cuisine: Four Recipes for Voice and Piano” by Leonard Bernstein, “Lime Jello Marshmallow Cottage Cheese Surprise” by William Bolcom and “Sorbet” by Timothy Andres. Critic Jonathan Gold will discuss the “talent, techniques and artistic expression” of culinary arts. Expect chef Susan Feniger as host at the April 5 concert.

Taco Tuesday Party

Guelaguetza and Mexicali Tacos and Co. are cooking the tacos at this event sponsored by LA Taco, Guelaguetza and Echo Park Records. Along with horchata and a full cash bar, expect DJs and dancing. Proceeds benefit art programs at Camino Nuevo Charter Academy.
