There's a reason why monthly skating party Wumpskate was featured in LA Weekly's 2009 “Best of L.A.” issue. It's the only place in the city where you can skate to IAMX tunes with a crowd of people dressed in black. Earlier this week, though, the story was a little different. Wumpkate's “Antigoth Skate” party requested that party people dress in anything but standard goth club attire. We thought this was a good excuse to wear a Kerokerokeroppi t-shirt and skate to songs like “Xanadu” and “Barbie Girl.” We weren't wrong. Check out some of our favorite antigoth looks of the night. Mandy Ma, who runs the blog Zippercut, put together this polka-dot clown-in-a-tutu outfit. It's adorable. She is, officially, the antigoth.

This dress reminds us of wholesome '50s sitcoms. Definitely not goth.

White baby doll dresses and braids more early '90s hippie than early '90s goth.

Nerdy looks were pretty popular at “Antigoth Skate,” but this guy put a nifty 1940s spin on it.

This dress has a Xanadu quality to it that we can appreciate, antigoth and roller disco-appropriate.
