L.A. County Fair

Yep, it's county fair time again. Enjoy fried treats, carnival games, amusement-park rides and more than 20 big-name musical acts through the end of September.

WHAT: L.A. County Fair

WHEN: Friday, Aug. 31 – Thurs., Sept. 30

WHERE: Pomona Fairplex, 1101 W. McKinley Ave., Pomona.

COST: $12 weekdays; $17 weekends

Pico-Robertson Block Party

This community event will host live music and plenty of food trucks, including the Lime Truck, Bun Truck, No Tomatoes, Fashion Truck, B Sweet and Trailer Park. Also, Starbucks will be offering tall iced coffees for $1.

L.A. Times' “The Taste” Festival

Southern California's biggest food and wine festival returns after its inaugural year to bring together more than 15,000 Angelenos for an unparalleled culinary weekend filled with chefs, food personalities and much more.

WHEN: Sat., Sept. 1-Mon., Sept. 3

USC vs. Hawaii Lawry's Tailgate Party

Lawry's Catering will be kicking off Trojan football season in style with a three-hour, all-you can-eat-and-drink tailgate party that will feature a Hawaiian luau-style menu.
