Mission Sake

A sake tasting, including food, is set for the Samuel Oschin Endeavor Pavilion at the California Science Center. Along with a range of sake, there'll be beer and shochu. Small bites will be provided by restaurants such as Maison Akira. All proceeds from the event will go toward the nonprofit Little Tokyo Service Center.

It's all about craft soda, starting with a presentation by Barley Forge Brewing founder Greg Nylen and ending with a craft soda tasting from some of the best brewers in Los Angeles.

California Spirit XXIX

A benefit for the American Cancer Society, the 29th annual California Spirit will feature food from restaurants including Angelini Osteria, Chinois on Main and Spago as well as wine from Revel Wines and Barrymore Wine.

Chaya Summer Festival

In honor of its 30th anniversary, Chaya Brasserie will throw a summer party with games and live entertainment as well as unlimited food and drink. Slated for the menu are Kobe sliders, baby back ribs, grilled corn, shrimp hand rolls and green tea shave ice. Refreshments include frozen beer, wine and sake.
