DineL.A. Restaurant Week
DineL.A.'s restaurant week, a recurring event, is back for another week, or rather weeks. Organized by the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board and presented in partnership with American Express, DineL.A. showcases more than 300 restaurants, who create prix fixe lunch and dinner menus. Claremont Restaurant Week
If you live further east, the city of Claremont is having its own restaurant week, its second annual event. Many of that city's more than 75 eateries and hotel restaurants will offer prix fixe lunch and dinner menus to highlight local cuisine. “Claremont Restaurant Week will showcase our growing, local culinary scene that is comprised of some terrific young chefs, experienced and daring proprietors, menus filled with locally sourced ingredients and restaurants serving craft beers and ales that complement their meals,” said Maureen Aldridge, CEO, Claremont Chamber of Commerce.

Los Angeles Garagiste Festival
This wine festival will showcase the wines of more than 40 high-quality, limited-production, California commercial winemakers who are making up to 1,500 cases per year. These are small-lot winemakers who may not have the big budgets to market their own wine — more than half of them don’t have tasting rooms — so you may not have had the chance to sip their stuff. There will be 100-plus wines poured, all in the gorgeous setting of Union Station's historic ticket concourse. Take the train to and from the festival, which you should do even if you weren't planning to drink too much.
WHAT: Los Angeles Garagiste Festival
WHEN: Saturday, July 12, 2-5 p.m.
WHERE: Union Station, 800 N. Alameda St., Los Angeles.
