McConnell's Fine Ice Cream & the Surly Goat Beer Float Night

For one night only, the Surly Goat has invited McConnell's Fine Ice Creams for an evening of pouring beer over scoops of ice cream. Some of the flavor combinations slated include Firestone Walker Brewing Company's Velvet Merlin with Turkish Coffee ice cream. Each float will be $5.

Mitsuwa Gourmet Food Fair

Beginning on Thursday, Mitsuwa Torrance will hold a food fair featuring the food of Japan. Check out specialties like seafood bento with salmon roe from Hokkaido, takoyaki (octopus fritters) from Osaka and Kobe-style waffles with a choice of custard, matcha or sesame chestnut flavors.

Vintage Enoteca will host a pairing of snack food “mash-ups” with wine through the weekend, with three bite-sized snacks and three 2 1/2-ounce pours. Co-owner Jennifer Moore says it will be a “reimagination of lowbrow classics paired with boutique wines.”

Live entertainment is scheduled for the cruise and all dads will receive a keepsake pint glass.
