L.A. Vegan Beer Festival

Sample beers from more than a dozen breweries, including Anchor, Epic, Fireman's Brew, Golden Road Brewing, Green Flash, Hangar 24, Karl Strauss and Smog City at this vegan-friendly event hosted by Tony's Darts Away, blogger Quarry Girl and The Roxy. Vendors and trucks including Seabirds, Mandoline Grill, Fresh Fries, Doomie's, Frankenstand, Plant Food for People and Amanda's Bakery will serve vegan food. Some proceeds will benefit the California Wildlife Center.

Foie Gras Battle

Twenty-three chefs partner with the Coalition for Humane and Ethical Farming Standards to bring foie gras-centric dinners to four L.A. restaurants — Animal (already sold out), Melisse, Lemon Moon and The Royce at the Langham.
