Food Truck Haven

A fleet of food trucks are lining up at Angel City Brewery in Little Tokyo. Calling it a modern-day picnic, the brewery has invited a range: White Rabbit Filipino Truck, Belly BombZ KBBQ Wings, George's Greek Truck, Surfer's Taco Truck, Crepes Bonaparte, Gobbles & Oinks Truck, Grilled Cheese Truck, Jogasaki Truck, Let's Roll It, PostcardsCAS (Central American Soul) Food Truck, Get Shaved Ice Truck and Coolhaus. Along with hosting the trucks, Angel City Brewery is offering tours of its brewery and board games for visitors.

Superba Snack Bar Cooking Demo

Jason Neroni, chef and owner of Superba Snack Bar, will give a cooking demonstration at Surfas in Culver City. He will demonstrate how to make ricotta cheese and pasta dough. This will be translated into dishes like gnocchi with peas, Parmesan cheese and pistachio butter; ricotta ravioli with Swiss chard, brown butter and vincotto; and chocolate papperdelle with tomato sugo, roasted peppers and spicy sausage. Attendees will get samples and recipes. Early arrival is encouraged as seating is limited. Superba Snack Bar was on L.A. Weekly's list of the 99 Essential restaurants this year.

DRINKfest Block Party

It's an all-you-can-drink afternoon block party in downtown Pomona. A $40 general admission ticket buys unlimited beer samples (wine, too, if you buy a VIP pass) at the soft reopen of 2nd Street Restaurant & Tavern. Afterward, check out the Gallery Art Walk and farmers market.

WHEN: Saturday, March 30, 1-5 p.m.; noon early entry for VIP ticket holders.
