Pint-Sized Beer Festival
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, four Los Angeles breweries — Eagle Rock, Golden Road, Highland Park, Angel City Brewery — have teamed up to support the Keep a Breast Foundation with a locals-only mini beer festival. Flatiron and Truckquito food trucks will be on site with food to pair with all that beer.
WHAT: Pint-Sized Beer Festival
WHEN: Sunday, Oct. 19, 2 to 6:30 p.m. You can sign up for one of two sessions: 2-4 p.m. or 4:30-6:30 p.m.
WHERE: Angel City Brewery, 216 S. Alameda St., Los Angeles; 213-622-1261.
COST: $20 includes a 5-oz. commemorative glass and eight tickets to sample the beer.

Sriracha Festival
Food GPS, Randy Clemens (The Sriracha Cookbook) and ShopHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen bring you the secnd annual L.A. Sriracha Festival, with local chefs and breweries coming out to help celebrate our favorite hot sauce. There will be a variety of Sriracha-themed dishes, including desserts, made by the folks at Jitlada, Sqirl, Mud Hen Tavern, Greenspan's Grilled Cheese, Eggslut, Red Bread, McConnell's Ice Cream, Beachwood BBQ and many others. A portion of proceeds will go to Food Forward. Live DJ's. Craft beer. Lots of spicy food.

Magnolia Bakery Cupcake Icing Classes
Sure, you're used to lining up at Magnolia Bakery to buy cupcakes, but how about learning to make them yourself? Or at least ice them properly, preferably with festive holiday decorations. The West Hollywood bakery recently started holding icing classes, and the next one will feature Halloween and fall themes. If you can't get to that one, the Nov. 11 class features filled cupcakes; and the one on Dec. 9 will teach you how to do snowflakes and holly.
