15th Annual Los Angeles Greek Festival

There'll be a lineup of your favorite Greek foods at the annual festival, featuring grilled rack of lamb, chicken souvlaki skewers, grilled octopus, gyros, moussaka, spanakopita, Greek wines and homemade pastries. The festival will be co-hosted by Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, and Chrys Chrys of Papa Cristo's is the 2013 honorary Grill Master. Proceeds from the event benefit the cathedral and its community center.

WHEN: Friday, Sept. 6, 5-10 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 7, noon-10 p.m.; Sunday, Sept. 8, noon-9 p.m.

L.A. Picnic

Ray Garcia (FIG), Kris Morningstar (Ray's & Stark Bar) and Vartan Abgaryan (Cliff's Edge) are among the chefs preparing lunch outside for a good cause — honoring the seniors in our lives. All proceeds benefit St. Vincent Meals on Wheels.

Fifth Annual Good Food Pie Contest

KCRW Good Food host and all-around pie expert Evan Kleiman hosts her fifth annual pie contest at LACMA. This year brings seven categories, including fruit, vegan and LACMA Art–inspired.
