Flavors of Los Angeles 2014
Hosted by the Greater Los Angeles division of the American Liver Foundation, Flavors of Los Angeles 2014 will bring together notable chefs from around L.A. for its eighth year. The event begins with a cocktail reception and hors d'oeuvres provided by participating chefs and restaurants, followed by oysters from Christophe Happillon of the Oyster Gourmet. After the cocktail reception, guests are joined by their personal chef, who will prepare five courses tableside. Live music will be provided throughout the evening, which is hosted by Master Chef's Sharone Hakman. Artisan Market at W Los Angeles
Choice Hospitality Group is hosting the second annual Artisan Market at W Los Angeles in Westwood. Artisans from around L.A. will offer farmers market goods for sale, and mezcal cocktails and a BBQ lunch will be served, with offerings such as mashed black bean crostinis, grilled lipstick pepper salsa, grilled corn on the cob and grilled rib-eye tacos with charred tomato, habanero salsa, queso fresco and cilantro. Specialty cocktails and live demonstrations will be provided by Mezcal El Silencio. Vendors will include the California Olive Oil Council, offering olive oil samples, and Whole Foods Market, with a DIY homemade body scrub station.

Los Angeles Spirits Expo 
L.A.'s first two-day trade and consumer craft spirits event brings together craft spirit distillers, bartenders, bottlers and label makers for a weekend of seminars, tastings, panel discussions and a chance to meet buyers, bloggers, bartenders, influencers and writers within the craft spirits industry. Friday's event is for trade exhibitors and industry attendees only, but the event is open to the public on Saturday, May 10. A percentage of the proceeds benefit Club 21, which supports families with children with Down's syndrome.
