California's Artisan Cheese Festival
Chefs, cheesemakers, sommeliers, winemakers and other industry leaders will gather in Petaluma for California's eighth annual Artisan Cheese Festival  – three days of touring, tasting and learning about artisan cheese. Events range from cheese-pairing seminars to cheese-making classes. Guest speakers include the San Francisco Chronicle's cheese columnist Janet Fletcher, award-winning author Laura Werlin and Judy Creighton of the American Cheese Society. Seminars take place on Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tickets for all events can be purchased at www.artisancheesefestival.com (ticket price for seminars and workshops includes a catered lunch). Contact Sheraton Sonoma County Hotel for special discounted rates for festivalgoers.

Los Angeles Seafood Festival 

Taste seafood from street vendors and local restaurants at Olvera Street's Los Angeles Seafood Festival, plus live entertainment, crafts, exhibitors, carnival games, giveaways and a free raffle.

Beer Dinner at Napa Valley Grille 
Partnering with Stone Brewing Co., Napa Valley Grille in Westwood hosts its first beer dinner. Chef Taylor Boudreaux's five-course menu includes prosciutto-wrapped scallops and wild game cassoulet with braised lamb sausages. Guests will be joined by Gabe Ryan from Stone Brewing to learn about the company's history and the stories behind each beer.
