Looking for some fun local events this summer? There are some great festivals nearby that will make for such a fun day! Here are the top ten festivals near Los Angeles for a great way to start summer off!

The first is the Old Town Music Festival which takes place June 11-12 in Temecula. There are 14 bands playing, 6 national acts, great food and drinks, and a fun atmosphere. The artists playing are Nelly, Colt Ford, Tyler Rich, Jamey Johnson, Locash, and Uncle Kracker. These country artists are amazing and will make for a great two days of country music.

The second festival is Boots and Brews Country Music Festival. This festival takes place on September 3 in Santa Clarita, Silicon Valley, and Ventura. This festival supports the Gen Giammanco Foundation which provides financial support to college athletes. You can join the list for updates on the artists, ticket promotions, and more!

There is also Chinatown Summer Nights which takes place July 28, August 11 and 25. It features Jason Bentley, Anthony Valadez, Jeremy Sole, and Aaron Byrd. There will be great food from L.A.’s gourmet food trucks. There are also Chinese chefs that will be performing cooking demonstrations, outdoor video projections, and Chinese cultural activities.

Carnaval Primavera is one of Southern California’s largest three-day Spring Festival. There are over 100 corporate exhibits, retail booths, food, arts and crafts, and live entertainment.

Street food Cinema is L.A.’s largest outdoor movie series. There is great street food, audience games, popular movies, live music and more. There are multiple dates to choose from for whatever fits your schedule best.

Coming up in October there is the Sherman Oaks Street Fair. This day attracts over 100,00 guests and includes crafts, arts, local foods, Ferris wheels, zip lines, live music, and live performances.

The Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival is another great option and is located at Harry Bridges Memorial Park in Long Beach. There are great wines and brews from around the world to try in a relaxed environment.

Montrose Arts and Crafts Festival just celebrated its 38th anniversary this year. This festival is the largest event in Glendale and has more than 250 fine artists, crafters, food vendors, musicians, and entertainers. This festival is also a great family-friendly atmosphere!

Lastly, Latin Street Food Fights at Border Grill in Downtown L.A. This festival takes eight countries and puts them in a head-to-head fight to see who has the best street fare. It is a great way to sample amazing food and see a friendly competition.
