With a background in film and a degree from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, Tim initially found himself working in live TV before becoming an editor and creative director at some of the best entertainment marketing agencies in the business. But despite his successes, Tim walked away from it all to pursue his passion for storytelling by collaborating on feature films and documentaries. This pivot eventually led him to start Sequence Creative – which has since become the fast-growing, award-winning agency it is today – and Sequence Media, a nascent production and consulting group.

Taylor MacDonell is an undergraduate student at the University of Southern California and the founder of College Genius, a college counseling platform that innovates by connecting prospective college applicants to current college students for application support. Her mission: offer students from varying demographics the educational tools they need to excel alongside their more privileged peers.

With $250,000 from angel investors, MacDonell turned her vision into a reality: developing, launching, and growing a database of 100+ student advisors, who attend top 50 universities and offer one-on-one tips and tricks over video calls.

MacDonell explains that College Genius is “Sparking opportunity and clarity for students by offering experience-based knowledge and expertise from advisors who recently and successfully underwent the application process. Captivating hindsight from our advisors and then leveraging it for students is our trademark. It’s our electrifying distinction from conventional counseling.” She explains, “Our advisors problem-solve for students from the perspective of once having met similar challenges and mastered an understanding of how to overcome them in savvy ways”.

Besides leveraging resources for students, MacDonell has led numerous projects in her hometown of France, like raising funds for various children’s cancer hospitals there and helping her brother grow his startup, One28, as their CMO. As Salutatorian of her graduating class and MVP of her Volleyball Team, MacDonell has a proven track record of success and a unique determination to gain diverse skill sets. 6 – Natalie Schwan

Natalie Schwan is a remarkable figure in the entertainment industry, known for her work as an entrepreneur, film director, and creative producer. Despite not having a formal film education, Natalie has shown that anything is possible with determination and a passion for the craft.
