DUI Crash on Lebec Service Road Resulted in Injuries and Fatality

LEBEC, CA (September 1, 2022) – Saturday, Tony Ray Charles III died, while 2 others sustained injuries after a DUI crash on Lebec Service Road.

The incident happened on August 27th, at around 7:11 P.M. in the area of Fort Tejon area.

According to reports, CHP responded to a car crash report and found an overturned Toyota on the right shoulder.

Emergency crews arrived and located Charles dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics took two other injured victims, 18-year-old Deleah Johnson and 18-year-old Erica Hayden, to Kern Medical for treatment.

Afterward, police arrested Johnson, the driver, after she received treatment at the hospital. She was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI.
