Man Pronounced Dead after Fatal Rollover Collision near Milepost 221
RITZVILLE, WA (November 29, 2021) – 37-year-old Tony T. Phelps lost his life in a pickup-truck accident on Interstate 90, Sunday morning.
The crash happened around 3:30 a.m., on Interstate 90 near Milepost 221, just south of Ritzville. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after.
According to reports, Phelps was driving west in a Ford pickup-truck hauling a trailer that. For reasons still unknown, the vehicle jackknifed, and eventually overturned.
Due to the impact, Phelps was ejected from the vehicle. Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced Phelps dead at the scene. However, no other injuries were reported.
Authorities did not considered drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the accident. At this time, an investigation is still currently underway.
No words can mend the broken hearts and sorrow felt during this delicate moment. Deepest condolences are with the family and friends of Tony Phelps.
