Our daily post might be a little holiday-light this morning, but your show-going plans might not be. And certainly there are some post-July 4 fireworks to be found, especially if you're into free music.

Four residencies kick off tonight in Sliver Lake/Echo Park environs. Quickly:

— O.C.-bred Mississippi Man bring their folk-rock to the Echo, where Rumspringa supports.

Summer Darling's self-titled album comes out digitally this week; they do the Spaceland residency, and Twilight Sleep supports.

The Outline are back strong with a new EP, “Who You Love,” and are settling in for four Mondays at the Bootleg Theater. Tonight, Superhumanoids are on the bill.

— And O.C.-bred three-piece Yellow Red Sparks have the Silverlake Lounge residency, which blasts off tonight with Vanaprasta on board.

Elsewhere: Square on Square at the Hotel Cafe; Kill the Dance Floor at the Viper Room; Phil Alvin at the Redwood Bar; and Secret Cities at Echo Curio.
