While the Killers have decided to give their engines a rest after seven years of making hits and touring behind them, frontman Brandon Flowers is keeping his motor running.

He's struck out on his own, making a solo album Flamingo from songs he wrote while the Killers were on the road supporting Day & Age. The new album isn't out until Sept. 14, so what do we know so far?
