Legendary acoustic bass player Charlie Haden, whose work with Miles Davis, Dexter Gordon and pretty much every other jazz player of any import, will speak jazz and business with Grammy Museum director Robert Santelli at the museum's new digs in L.A. Live. The public conversation, part of the Duke Jazz Talks Series, will take place tonight at 8 p.m. Haden, who's notable not only for his music but for his musically active LA-based progeny — Haden triplets Petra, Rachel and Tanya, and their brother Josh Haden — will perform with pianist Alan Broadbent after the talk.
