81-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Deadly Bicycle Accident in San Jose

SAN JOSE, CA (March 9, 2021) – Saturday afternoon, 81-year-old Tommy Le was killed in a fatal bicycle crash on Tully Road, near McLaughlin Avenue.

CHP responded to the collision just before 1:00 p.m., on March 6. Emergency crews arrived to the scene on Tully Road near McLaughlin Avenue shortly after.

According to reports, a white Lexus RX3 made a right turn from westbound Tully onto northbound McLaughlin. There, the bicyclist was fatally struck on the westbound lanes.

The Lexus then hit a Chevrolet SUV that was northbound on McLaughlin Avenue. Due to the impact of the collision, Le suffered life-threatening injuries before he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

In addition, the drivers of both vehicles were not hurt. Officers say they stayed on scene and cooperated with the authorities.
