A specific lot of grape tomatoes grown by a Florida grower has been recalled by the FDA for possible salmonella contamination, prompting a larger recall of packaged salads. Six L's of Immokalee, Florida, is voluntarily recalling a single lot of grape tomatoes, which were distributed to 10 states including California and to Canada and reached consumers through retail stores and restaurant distribution.

Additionally, the lot was supplied to Taylor Farms Pacific, Inc. of Tracy, California, and was used in 29 packaged salads made by Taylor Farms for Albertsons, Raley's, Safeway, Savemart, Sam's Club, & Walmart. Consumers who purchased recalled grape tomatoes should return them to the place of purchase for a refund or call 877-606-1821, ext. 3955.
